So this week I started to set up my studio and became entranced by it’s beauty
It doesn’t look much from the outside, just a town centre office block but inside the light is beautiful out onto the buildings opposite and their brickwork and tilework (which you don’t see from the street) is captivating. And even though it is mesmerising I have still managed to sketch every single day, painted and had studio visitors. I would take more pictures of the brickwork (or I will do soon) but the people who work in the building opposite are probably startled enough by my gazing, thinking I am some kind of Hitchcock character, a voyeur, when really I am not even seeing them at all. Okay, maybe I won’t say that to them with their headsets on and tapping away at their computers they probably won’t get my ramblings.
I went for a walk really early in the morning, with the dog. It was dark and eerie, I stupidly threw her ball and that involved a while trying to re-find it (I did)
I started making a dress, once a week I will meet up with Jo and crack on to the next stage. I am meant to be helping her but you know doing your own project alongside, counts, right? Ordered the wool for Al’s jumper, we will be doing a swap, something handknit by me in return for something beautiful sourced by Al. (she runs this studio if you want to know)
Yesterday caught the start of a sunset over the beach after a day working at the sea, didn’t actually get to touch the sea but could smell it and see it, so that kind of counts.
And I liberated some chocolate bunnies from a glass jar
A good week.
