Yesterday was 3rd Saturday of the Outside;Inside Festival 2010, we were in Market Place with an Art Market, the Gherkin was in town and Mirren Kessling was in O’Neills in a co-curation project between Amy (from Amys Ghost) and me.
It was a fantastic day of music, even in the monsoon rain type moments. There were 11 artists in the Art Market which fortunately was undercover and we saw some great performances all day culminating in the Son of Dave. But it was Amys Ghost that stole my heart.
I love that Amy was wearing her wedding dress, the venue was decorated from elements from her wedding, it was a perfect pairing of Mirren and Amy, Mirren was creating one of her drawings inspired by 17/18th Century wigs and jewellery.
I can’t wait for the next project, Nuit Blanche October 15, an art event I am involved in from Dusk to Dawn, it will involve an inside out drawing, a gallery of four different art groups, a lit forest and hopefully the outcasts knitting night caps.
