This is the entrance of my friends to their wedding, nothing was normal about this day – in fact the groom in his speech said later on during a his speech talking of how everyday made his new wife made him laugh and his wife aways surprises him, he finished off by saying *well, she’s weird..*.
I also was a bridesmaid for the first time in my life, below is a picture of bama and I getting ready – all the bridesmaids dress code was fabulous with the threat of tiaras and boas if we did not pull it off. I had flowers in my hair and a sizeable bluebird, needless to say I was not given a tiara so I must have pulled of the outrageous look.
The day was fabulous, from the moment they entered to the tune of “tales of the unexpected” to the whole accompanying sounds of the day – that was expected as Phil (the groom) is an artist/ award winning film maker and his best man, Pete, a musician and artist. The brides bouquet comprised of flowers made by her friends and I had made a knitted garter (blue of course!) for her day.
So we laughed and ate good things, drank tea out of china cups (all guests left with a cup of their choice), ate fab cupcakes from Picnic, Reading and just had a good old day. In fact if I was ever to be a bridesmaid, it is this way it had to be.
It has all been a whirlwind (although I feel that may be a normal situation of my life), the children started a new school and suddenly I am unable to help them with their homework – seriously, I have no experience of Mandarin Chinese other than Happy New Year so my ability to help will be very very limited. I am also adjusting to having time to do things and then realising I don’t have that much time this week. Tomorrow evening we are hosting the knit-together and in Friday it’s an early start to go to IKnit with skeinqueen and all the outcasts.
I love my life
This week as well, the new pattern will be available to buy via Ravelry, snowflake catchers.
